Dolphin Energy Supports Young Future Energy Leaders

Dolphin Energy Limited announced its gold sponsorship of the Young Future Energy Leaders Program which is taking place on the sidelines of this year’s World Future Energy Summit (WFES).

The WFES is running from 17th - 20th January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.

The Young Future Energy Leaders Program is being run by the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology and provides up to 150 students and young professionals a platform to learn about the renewable energy initiatives being undertaken in the UAE and encourages them to participate in debates about the future of energy and contribute to finding solutions for the challenges of climate change.

Commenting on the company’s participation in the Program, Mr. Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, CEO, Dolphin Energy, said, "It is vital that preparations for the UAE’s future commitment to renewable energy solutions are put in place today and this Program will help to do that. In supporting this initiative, we recognize the importance of encouraging the next generation to think seriously about the challenges ahead and provide them with the tools and opportunities on offer through building alliances with industry peers, government representatives, business leaders and the many organizations that are exhibiting at the Summit." Young future energy leaders will participate in a variety of events at WFES including the opening ceremony, plenary sessions and the closing session. Presentations by corporate executives and academics are also scheduled for the Program participants.

In addition to sponsoring the Program, Dolphin Energy has renewed its support for the WFES Summit. The event, which is now in its fourth year, aims to build on the success of previous years.

"Our commitment to supporting WFES is well known. Natural gas has an important role to play in developing this country’s commitment to a future founded extensively on sustainable energy and we are very pleased to be participating," added Mr. Al Sayegh.

This year the Summit is being held under the theme ’enabling future energy solutions’ and comprises the four day conference and two exhibitions - a World Future Energy Exhibition and World future Environment Exhibition. It is anticipated that more than 600 exhibitors from around 40 countries will attend.
