His Highness SheikhDr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, met DrNora Berra, French Health Minister at her officesinthe Ministry of Health, Paris.
His Highness DrSheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimiwas accompanied by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation, His ExcellencyMohammed Mir Abdullah Al-Raeesi, UAE Ambassador to France, Dr. Amr Abdel-Hamid, Special Advisor to His Highness for Higher Education, Dr. Samy Mahmoud, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, and Dr. Hossam El Din Hamdi, University Vice-Director for Medical and Health Colleges Affairs, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, University of Sharjah.
The meeting was attended by key advisers tothe French Ministryof Health, along with representatives of leadinginstitutions and universities in the healthcare landscape of France.
The two parties discussed ways to promote and develop bilateral relations in medicine and healthcarein addition toenhancing cooperation between the medical research institutes in Sharjah such as the University of Sharjah and the University Hospital in Sharjah as well as their counterparts in France for specialized healthcare, continued education, scientific research and scholarships.
The meeting built uponthe University of Sharjah’s existingsynergywith major healthcare and higher education institutions in France that have already beentranslated into productive work programmes.
