Liberty Automobiles Wins General Motors’ Prestigious Grandmasters Award

UAE dealer for Chevrolet and Cadillac wins coveted award for sales and service excellence

General Motors Middle East has awarded Liberty Automobiles, one of the biggest GM dealers in the Middle East, the prestigious annual Grandmasters Award for 2011.

The global award, which is given to outstanding dealers of Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicles, recognizes the best-of-the-best GM dealers across the globe.

Liberty Automobiles won the award on successfully meeting the criteria of the GM Grandmasters Programme, including New Car Sales, Customer Satisfaction, Financial Reporting and Customer Data Management.

The GM Grandmasters award celebration function was hosted by General Motors Middle East at the Liberty Automobiles showroom in Sharjah. It was attended by John Stadwick, President and Managing Director of GM Middle East, Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi, Chairman of Liberty Group, Duncan Peat, Managing Director, Liberty Automobiles Company, top officials of GM Middle East, as well as management and the entire staff of Liberty Automobiles Company.

Liberty’s high level of customer service has helped to increase first quarter sales in 2012 by 30 perc ent year-over-year. The sales momentum is expected to be maintained throughout 2012 as Liberty plans to introduce six new models in the UAE: the all-new Malibu midsize sedan, Colorado midsize pickup and TrailBlazer SUV, as well as the Camaro ZL1, the Cadillac ATS and the Cadillac XTS.

Addressing the gathering, John Stadwick said: "The aim of the Grandmasters Award is to raise levels of customer care in terms of sales and aftersales service, and to ensure that all GM dealers provide a world-class shopping, buying and ownership experience for every customer. We are delighted to honour Liberty Automobiles Company with this award for meeting General Motors’ stringent criteria under the Grandmasters programme."

The award ceremony also highlighted Liberty’s achievement of winning four of the five ‘functional awards’ under the GM Grandmasters Programme in categories of Fleet Sales, Retail Parts Sales, Service Operations and Customer Value Management, thus further consolidating its position as a major dealer of General Motors in the UAE.
