Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited, today, an exhibition held on the sideline of the 7th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM 2017), a world-leading, emerging markets’ foreign direct investors platform, running under the theme "International Investment and Competitiveness".
The event saw the participation of 250 companies and government departments from 125 countries, including the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed said that the exhibition provides a platform for participants to network, share experiences and information about the FDI and strategic partnership in countries seeking to attract investment.
He affirmed that the UAE will remain a favourite destination for FDI because it enjoys stability, security and legislation adopted to protect capital and create an encouraging, safe and clean environment for investment.
Welcoming participating organisations and business people to Dubai and the wider UAE, he further noted that the UAE enjoys a good reputation in the global investment circles.
Sheikh Mohammed stopped at the pavilions of Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai Airports, Dubai Public Prosecution, Dubai Land Department, Dubai Executive Council and Dubai Economy, where he was briefed by representatives of the exhibitors about achievements made in the shift to e-government and e-services.
During a visit to the Tatarstan pavilion, His Highness was briefed by President Rustam Minnikhanov about the Asian country's economic potential, natural resources and attractiveness for FDI.
