Dubai Culture Participates in ’Careers UAE 2017’ Fair

The Authority to offer a variety of positions across the culture and arts sectors

Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has announced its participation in the ‘Careers UAE 2017’ fair, which will be held from 9-11 April at Dubai World Trade Centre. Dubai Culture will be aiming to make a lasting impression at the event, to enhance its internal Emiratization strategy and attract national talent for both leading and managerial positions across all sectors of the business.

The Authority will announce its vacancies on the ‘Dubai Careers’ website, which will be launched by Dubai Smart Gov before the launch of the exhibition, and job seekers can also visit Dubai Culture’s stand during the event to gain more insights into the positions available for Emirati nationals who would like to support the city’s thriving culture and arts scene. Through its participation, the Authority will showcase its initiatives and projects to the 18,000+ visitors who are expected to attend the exhibition.

Fatima Ali Al Mohammed, Manager of Human Resources at Dubai Culture, commented: “Dubai Culture’s continued participation in the ‘Careers UAE’ fair reflects our alignment with the national Emiratization strategy, and our commitment to attracting local talents and improving their professional skills. This exhibition gives us the opportunity to meet potential candidates and showcase our vacancies, which will serve to fulfill the needs of our ongoing projects and initiatives. We have successfully achieved this in previous installments of the exhibition, and once again this year, we will be aiming to attract fresh graduates and talents who are equipped to support our culture and art projects.”

Safiya Al Mehrizi, Director of Training and Performance Department at Dubai Culture, commented: “The Dubai Culture team participating in the exhibition will receive candidate applications and explain the current vacancies to the stand visitors, while offering more detailed job descriptions to select qualified candidates. To prepare new employees for the job, we will also offer training courses such as the Culture Tour Guide Diploma, the Museum’s Management Diploma in collaboration with International Universities, and other specialized courses in culture and heritage.”

The ‘Careers UAE’ fair is targeted at UAE nationals who wish to find better job opportunities and improve their careers. Over three days, nearly 160 companies of all sizes and levels will provide job opportunities for UAE nationals at various levels of employment, whether newly graduated or highly skilled and experienced. Visitors can also discover the latest information about study opportunities, training, and the world of work.

Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures, through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
