In less than a month, the 18th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2016) will display the widest and latest range of green products, solutions and technologies to enhance innovation and sustainable solutions for the regional and global water, energy and environment industries.

WETEX 2016 is supporting the exchange of experiences, knowledge and the latest developments in green solutions. It gives large and medium companies the opportunity to be acquainted with the most recent developments of this sector, and take part in future energy projects. Participants will have the chance to meet decision makers and experts from the energy, water and environment industries from all over the world, where they can exchange ideas and experiences with them. New jobs will be created, the matter which supports Dubai’s economic growth.

“As an annual show, WETEX serves as a platform for companies, authorities, and specialised organisations to present their latest technologies in water, environment and energy.
Organisations participating at the show will also present their ambitious goals and mega projects, which will be a source of competition for international companies looking to meet their needs for innovative and advanced services, products and solutions fulfilling the future requirements. This leads to supporting and accelerating innovation process to develop sufficient and sustainable solutions, and also creating new services that will help to develop the plans and strategies of water, energy and the environment on the short, medium, and long term,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), President and Founder of WETEX.

“WETEX 2016 is an ideal venue as it reflects the efforts of the UAE and its wise leadership to strengthen global and regional collaboration to launch latest technology solutions in water, environment, and energy. This ultimately supports the global drive towards sustainability, energy conservation and preservation of natural resources. It also supports the Dubai Plan 2021, and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 to increase the use clean energy to enhance Dubai’s position as a global hub for sustainability,” he added.

“The public and private sectors’ participation at WETEX this year is very promising as they will display the most prominent environmental projects and clean energy solutions, including electricity-generating technologies using solar and wind energy, water consumption conservation, water desalination and district cooling solutions. It will also feature projects aimed to preserve the environment and reduce carbon emissions through the introduction of innovative systems and raising the efficiency of plants. Moreover, it will highlight new ways for waste recycling. The show will certainly help in building anticipated partnerships between public and private sectors, including local, regional and international companies, to ultimately serve the interest of the energy, water and environment sectors,” concluded Al Tayer.

The 18th WETEX will be the largest exhibition so far in terms of display area, number of exhibitors, and anticipated number of visitors where it will be held for three days under the umbrella of the third Green Week. It also coincides with the third World Green Economy Summit and the first Dubai Solar Show.
