The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently added a host of online services related to commercial transport services as part of its endeavours to keep pace with the vision of Dubai’s Government aimed at bringing happiness to people, especially customers.
“Through its portal (www.rta.ae), RTA had launched a number of services related to commercial transport activities namely: addition of a partner/manager, removal of a partner/manager, changing the business name, and amending partners’ details,” said Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency. “The provision of these services online aims at enabling customers process their commercial transactions in a quick and smooth manner without obliging them to visit customers’ service centers, which would also reduce the number of visiting customers. The move is in response to the directives of our government to raise the proportion of customers using smart services to as much as 80% by 2018,” he continued.
“RTA has 173 smart services and the provision of online services for commercial transport activities would be a great addition to the smart transition drive of RTA aimed at ranking Dubai as the world’s smartest city in terms of government services. It also echoes RTA’s 1st strategic goal (Smart Dubai), and 3rd strategic goal (People Happiness). In this regard, RTA adopts the highest international standards, and considers customers convenience as a top priority. Accordingly, it makes every effort to introduce smart and e-services, and run additional initiatives to ease the life of all community members given its standing as one of the biggest government entities in touch with the daily life of people in the Emirate of Dubai.,” added Bahrozyan.
