Dubai Customs has taken great strides to put the 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System into implementation. Awareness workshops for all divisions and customs centres were conducted, as the preliminary and most important phase for implementation. A timetable was set by the Corporate Excellence Section at Dubai Customs to ensure Dubai Customs makes an exceptional participation in the next DGEP edition, with applications submitted to 25 categories that have been adjusted to fit in with the new system.

Moreover, Dubai Customs hosted a discussion forum, with the slogan “Stars of Excellence”, where previous winners of the DGEP passed on their experiences to future candidates and the people of DC at large.

A two-day seminar was held at Marriott Hotel - Dubai for departments and sections heads and DGEP teams to determine the gaps between the requirements of the new system and what has been achieved so far.
