Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has visited today Dubai International Airport and inspected passengers’ travel procedures and the facilities provided by various authorities in the airport, where he described Dubai International Airport as “Gate of Peace” that links the East with the West and promotes UAE culture and civilization.
His Highness, along with Dubai Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of the Emirates Group, and Khalifa Saeed and Director-General of Dubai's Protocol Department Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, checked passengers’ travel procedures at Terminal 3, which is dedicated to Emirates Airlines, where His Highness praised the way passengers are welcomed and assisted throughout the procedure.
Sheikh Mohammed also inspected the joint operations room of Emirates and Department of Naturalization and Residency, that mainly aims at serving passengers and speeding up their travel procedures, through a sophisticated data processing system that slash the time of the procedures. The system was recently introduced in Terminal 3, and set to be deployed in all terminal through phases.
Sheikh Mohammed and the delegation accompanying him also reviewed the passport and baggage control procedures, as well as duty free market located in the departure area.
Sheikh Mohammed praised the procedures at the airport as well as the way passengers are treated regardless of their nationality, language or culture.
