“My Family Happiness” initiative is the latest offering by Dubai Customs Training Centre. It is meant to enable participants to resolve problems, improve their decision making skills and help them plan better for the future.
Targeting employees and their families, some of the topics covered by the training courses and workshops designed under the new initiative include “Protection of children against bullying and sexual abuse”, “ Family stability bases and family budgeting management”, “Work and Family Happiness”, “How to take care of a differently-abled child in your family”, and “The role of Customs in community security and happiness”.
Dr Shaikha Al Ghafri, Acting Director of the Customs Training Centre, pointed out that the new initiative is being carried out in partnership with the Centre’s strategic partners and leading entities in the field. She said, “Dubai Customs invests in its human resources out of its solid belief in their principle value to the realization of DC’s mission and objectives. We are now providing a rich experience to employees and their families, with the hope that it will reflect positively on their domestic life and work productivity.
“The new initiative from DC is in line with the national initiative ‘Cohesive family 2021’ that was launched last May by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to educate families on the importance of family solidarity and cohesion,” added Dr Al Ghafri.
The training courses under the new initiative are listed as key programs in the training plan 2016 for DC staff.
“My Fitness is My Health” program also targets inspectors and helps them stay in shape through specialized physical training program under the supervision of physical training experts and a healthy nutrition plan .
