RTA screens partner needs in ’Happy City Partners Council’

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently held an elaborate gathering under an initiative named: Happy City Partners Council; bringing together a host of strategic & key partners. The event reviewed the outcomes of partnerships and joint projects undertaken with partners, and examined their needs as regards RTA’s strategic plan along with the anticipated future challenges and how to cope with them.

“The gathering commenced with a presentation examining the compatibility of RTA plans with the Dubai Plan 2021, and focused on aligning RTA’s eight strategic goals with the objectives of the Plan,” said Nasir Abu Shehab, Acting CEO of Strategy & Corporate Governance Sector, RTA. “It also spotlighted RTA’s Strategic Plan 2014 – 2018, and the directives relating to Plan 2016 – 2020. The event sought to identify the needs of partners in a bid to realize joint objectives at high-class standards. It also screened landmark results made between 2006 and 2015 in terms of improving the quality of road network, developing creative solutions, increasing public transport ridership, and enhancing the smart city initiative among others,” he continued.

“The presentation discussed the roadmap of Partners Relations Management with the aim of realizing common objectives, and maximizing the satisfaction of strategic and main partners. A folder was distributed to attendees containing the standards & categories of awards related to the business of partners such as safety, energy and green economy awards.

“The gathering was held in the context of RTA’s keenness to cement partner relations and share information about enhancing RTA’s drive towards maintaining the lofty profile of Dubai, and aligning it with the strategy of our government,” concluded Abu Shehab.
