All year round, DEWA has launched several social development initiatives to encourage and enhance communication among the elderly, and is committed to providing them with a safe and stable life, as they are an important part of our community.

Today’s meeting is an authentic gesture by DEWA employees to show appreciation for their fathers and grandfathers, and to enhance social cohesion. Activities such as these provide employees with a sense of self-satisfaction, a happy work environment and developing a unified society,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

Al Tayer emphasised that it’s important for all individuals and organisations to work to together to care for senior citizens who have contributed a great deal to the growth of the UAE.

Towards the end of the visit, Al Tayer gave gifts to the elderly. During the event, participants listened to Emirati traditional and heritage poems and songs, and other entertaining activities that were enjoyed by attendees.
