Sheikh Hamdan words came during his visit to DIMC pavilion at the Dubai International Boat Show 2016.
The show saw more than 800 companies and brands from 55 countries partaking at the event.
Sheikh Hamdan, accompanied by senior officials of DIMC, listened to a detailed explanation by Saeed Mohammed Hareb, chairman of Board of Directors and Dr. Khalid Mohammed Zahid, vice chairman of the Board, about the new projects that the club implemented to develop its facilities, leveraging on its prime location at the waterfront in Dubai, Mina Siyahi and the Marina.
Sheikh Hamdan was also briefed about the integrated plan of DIMC, which was effectively implemented since 2014 with guidance of Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of DIMC.
Sheikh Hamdan advised to increase the proportion of berthing alongside the development of other facilities at the club such as external parking and internal roads.
His Highness was also briefed about the achievements that have been made in line with the vision of the UAE leadership in relation to the development of infrastructure, including the completion of the internal intersection and the new entrance to the club to keep pace with the developments taking place in Sufouh Street alongside Dubai tram line, as well as the completion of the Green Parking at the club headquarters in cooperation with RTA and DEWA.
Sheikh Hamdan also praised the remarkable evolution and continuous work at DIMC headquarters and their efforts to make the club ab optimized destination supporting the marine sports and races.
He also emphasised the need to work on the development of infrastructure and to focus on marketing aspects in addition to the development of the cultural heritage of the country.
