One of Abu Dhabi’s oldest nurseries moves in to an exciting new phaseEvolvence Knowledge Investments Limited (EKI) has announced the acquisition of Humpty Dumpty Nurseries in Abu Dhabi, one of the capital’s oldest and most established pre-schools. EKI, the wholly-owned education arm of Evolvence Capital Limited, one of the leading alternative investment firms in the GCC, has a proven track record in delivering high quality education and will now commit to the growth and development of the Humpty Dumpty facilities in Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen district and Khalifa City A, with other locations to follow. Humpty Dumpty provides full-time and part-time care for toddlers and children between the ages of one and four years old. The nurseries look after children in a secure and caring environment specifically designed to nurture social development while learning through play, social interaction, self-discovery and self-expression. Laith Al Soufi, General Manager of Humpty Dumpty Nurseries said: “Being part of the EKI family will bring significant benefits for all our children, particularly with the opportunity for progression on to Repton Abu Dhabi. The selection process for a place at Repton Abu Dhabi will take place for Humpty Dumpty children before the general assessments and therefore our children will be given first priority. “Staff from Repton’s Early Years Department will be involved in team and curriculum development at Humpty Dumpty and will therefore have the opportunity to get to know our children prior to and after their assessment for entry to Repton. “We have always been committed to offering educational opportunities and facilities of the highest quality and this will not change; we will now be able to offer even more to our children. Our objectives have always been to remain prominent childcare providers and educators with a view to source, develop and expand our areas of expertise farther afield and into the community and beyond.” Khalid Al Muhairy, Chairman of Evolvence Knowledge Investments, said, “EKI is committed to upholding the excellent standards Humpty Dumpty has achieved since its inception in 1991, and will continue to support children on their educational journey. The nurseries’ motto ‘that the child always comes first’ has set a precedent for exceptional care and individual enrichment and we pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of educational support”. Benjamin J Lee, President and Deputy CEO of EKI, added, “The education sector in the UAE is growing as more people move to the emirates and seek the best quality teaching standards for their children. We’re excited to have Humpty Dumpty Nurseries on board; we foresee a great future ahead for the staff and pupils as we work to grow their unique services.” EKI formed a partnership with the UK’s Repton School in 2006 and commenced operations of its first UAE campus when it opened Repton Dubai in September 2007, marking the British school’s 450th anniversary. In September 2013, EKI will open Repton Abu Dhabi on Reem Island, spread across two campuses, the first of which is the Foundation School on a 7,000 square metre site with an expected capacity of 550 children. |
