Run For Tolerance, RYAN UAE Minithon Sharjah











Hot on the heels of the 1ST UAE Ryan Minithon initiated and organised by Ryan International School, Masdar City, Ryan International School, Sharjah will host a second Run for Tolerance on Saturday, November 23.

The run will start at 7am at The Ryan International School, circumventing Nesto Hypermarket, going past creative school and ending at The Ryan International School. Following the International Day of Tolerance celebrated on November 16, this event supports the National agenda of the Year – Year of Tolerance in association with the consulate of India, Dubai

CEO, Ryan Group of Schools, Ryan Pinto says,” We support the vision of the Founding Father of the Nation, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan to promote the values of respect and tolerance and to cherish the experience of living in a multicultural society. Ryan Group of Schools has been hosting Ryan Minithon events in India for over 19 years. We organize many of the events through October to commemorate Gandhiji’s birth anniversary as the Father of the Indian nation who is also as a symbol of tolerance. We plan to organise this program on a regular basis in the UAE.”

Entry is open to all categories. The minithon has a track of 0.7 kms for people of determination, 1.8 kms for children under 13 years, 1 km for children under 10 and a 3.9 kms for adults and students under 18. The races will begin at 7:00 am and conclude by 10 am when participants will be awarded. Sixty winners in 5 different categories will be awarded with the Championship Trophies, Gift Hampers, Medals and Certificates. All participants will receive goodie bags and participation certificates.

Participants may register online at http://tinyurl.com/rissharjah. So far, over 1,800  participants have registered in all categories. They include a contingent of over 25 schools and over 1,200 children from across Sharjah. Over 600 members have registered from different corporate firms around Dubai and Sharjah. All members of the public are invited to attend and cheer in a show of support for the event and its cause.
