The events of 2nd Dubai Customs Week saw a recognizable turnout from clients and staff alike. The diverse activities appealed to different segments of society with the aim of achieving bigger targets of awareness on top of which making clients even happier and enhancing partnership with strategic partners.
The educational activities helped raise awareness around Dubai Customs’ role in supporting legitimate trade and national economic growth in fulfilment of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
A main highlight was the event organized by the Coastal Customs Centers Management on board a ship hosting a group of senior citizens. The Emirati innovator Ahmad Majan was invited to the event where he talked about his most important innovations. After that the Management launched a charity initiative targeting boat owners and workers.
Intellectual Property Rights Department (IPR) organized an awareness event to raise knowledge amongst cruise tourists around the UAE and its history. Yousef Ozair, Director of Intellectual Property Rights Department (IPR) at Dubai Customs values his department’s participation in the event and said:
“We are always very serious and eager to participate in all national efforts that help in raising knowledge about the country”.
Ahmad Al Dalil, Director, Coastal Customs Centers Management said that the events of 2nd Dubai Customs Week is a good start for the Year of Giving and a true reflection of the Emirati people’s inherent values of giving and tolerance.
