Dubai Customs recently won the Business Award from Business Intelligence Group for its distinctive performance and innovative products and services originated during 2016.
Dubai Customs is the first government department in the world to win this award from Business Intelligence Group. There are seven awards which include (Business Award), (Innovation Award), (Best Workplace Award), and (Sustainability Award), plus Stratuss’s Cloud Computing Award. This year, Dubai Customs applied only for the Business Award and focused on it.
Big names competed for these awards including companies as big as 3M, IdeaBank, Citi Group and Toshiba.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DP World said:

He added that the quality of work adopted in Dubai Customs competes that of the private sector and beat it in some areas based on the wise vision of the country’s leadership which aims at promoting the UAE and enhancing its economy.
Ross Fordiss, CEO, Business Intelligence Group, highly commended Dubai Customs’ achievement being the first government department in the world to win such an award. He said that distinction and uniqueness were the common traits for all the winners.
