As part of its efforts to support continuous improvement in enhancing the innovation framework and strategy in the organisation, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry was awarded the Innovation Management System CEN TS 1655 1 2013 Certification by TÜV InterCert.
The Certificate was awarded to Dubai Chamber for being one of a few organisations implementing Innovation Management System by launching a comprehensive innovation strategy while creating a culture of innovation as well as encouraging innovation among employees which leads to improving the feasibility, recognition and rewarding of ideas.
H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO, Dubai Chamber, stated that this achievement reflects on the Chamber's untiring efforts in promoting a culture of creativity and innovation not only in the organisation but across the emirate’s business community in line with the globally-applied innovation standards.
He said, “This certification will help us in promoting Dubai Chamber as one of the leading chambers in the world, especially in light of the positive feedback which will support our innovation and creativity management system whose aim is to stimulate creative ideas and innovative initiatives complementing the Chamber’s mission to represent, support and protect the interests of the business community in Dubai.”
The President and CEO of Dubai Chamber further stressed that Dubai Chamber has developed an integrated strategy covering all stages of the innovation process to stimulate innovation in the private sector as it launched the integrated innovation strategy last year to keep pace with the emirate’s innovation initiative announced by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
After a successful completion of a certification external audit conducted by TÜV InterCert classification organisation this month, Dubai Chamber has been awarded the Innovation Management System CEN TS 1655 1 2013 Certification which brings the Chamber international recognition.
