Dubai Culture Participates in Ramadan Creative Dialogues under Mohammed Bin Rashid Initiative for Government Innovation

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate's dedicated entity for heritage, arts and culture, have participated in the Mohammed Bin Rashid initiative for Government Innovation Ramadan Creative Dialogues for the second year in a row, at an event organised by The General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai at Al Multaqua Ballroom in Dubai World Trade Centre on 13th June 2016.

In line with the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of enhancing the partnership between government entities, the Authority participated in this year’s Ramadan Creative Dialogues under the theme of human management, role models, forgiveness and making people happy. The event’s goal was to strengthen relationships across the departments of all governmental entities in Dubai, cascading these principles from management to all employees, in order to spread happiness across all governmental organisations in Dubai. 

Acting Director General of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), His Excellency Saeed AlNabouda said: “We at Dubai Culture are pleased to announce our participation in this year’s Ramadan Government Creative Dialogues, following the directions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which aim to provide a creative work environment in the government sector characterised by core elements of humanity, forgiveness, role models and making people happy, and to strengthen administrative capabilities in order to promote creative competitiveness across all fields.

AlNabouda added: “Through this participation Dubai Culture has been provided a platform to showcase its full range of cultural events and artistic programmes, including organising a digital and visual exhibition for UAE leaders, in addition to, original documents signed by Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed AL- Maktoum in supporting and helping people and others in Humanitarian aspects, which carries their historical contributions towards public-spirited and creative leadership, which is characterised by their humanitarian spirit, forgiveness and happiness within their societies.”

The initiative also hosted famous writers from the UAE who signed books, most notably the writer Ali Abu Rish, and the writer and Dubai Culture Adviser Dhaen Shaheen. In addition, the event also showcased Dubai Culture’s electronic library, created in line with the UAE Year of Reading initiative, which allows people to scan book codes and subsequently transfer book content directly onto tablets and mobile phones. This library holds over 27,000 title in the field of science and knowledge. Another key feature of the online portal includes an interactive platform devoted to the aesthetics of calligraphy art and portrait photography, which was gifted to attendants.

Dubai Culture and Arts authority is committed to enriching the cultural scene of the city in line with its Arab heritage, and is working to build bridges of constructive dialogue between the variety of different civilizations and cultures within the Emirate, in turn contributing to social and humanitarian initiatives which aim to provide a happier environment for UAE nationals and residents alike
