Al Tayer launches Smart Customers Service Center at Al Barsha

“The launch of this smart center, which is situated within the existing Customers Service Center at Al Barsha, is part of RTA’s efforts to deliver best-in-class services to customers towards realizing the vision & directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council; and HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, advocating the Smart City concept. The drive, which aims at ranking Dubai as the smartest city in the world, is based on delivering services & performance that go beyond meeting customers’ expectations to make people happier,” commented Al Tayer.

During an inspection tour of the Smart Center, Al Tayer heeded to briefings by Yousef Al Rida, CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector; Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of Licensing Agency; and Ahmed Mahboob, Director of Customers Service, about the devices and services provided by the Smart Center; which is fitted with interactive screens displaying information about the RTA and its website. The Center also has tablets fitted with smart apps enabling customers to process transactions, and a service corner offering individual or corporate customers access to personal accounts for processing transactions or reviewing financial reports & receipts. The Center is also fitted with a self-service kiosk enabling customers to process transactions themselves around-the-clock. Through the device, customers can carry out transactions relating to the renewal of driver licenses, renewal of vehicle ownership cards, issuance of vehicle ownership cards instead of lost ones, vehicle ownership certificate, non-ownership of a vehicle certificate, query and payment of traffic fines, payment of bills, and seasonal parking card services.

Al Tayer also toured the facilities of the customers’ service center at Al Barsha, which has received a substantial face-lift. The revamped design ranks it as a 5-star customers’ service center offering a hospitable environment to visitors. The interior of the Center boasts of deluxe seats in a setting that ensures the smooth flow of customers, ornamental plants, and display monitors showing numbers of waiting customers as well as documentary material about RTA’s array of projects & services. The Center also has 15 counters offering 57 services spanning four sectors namely licensing of vehicles & drivers, paid parking zones services, Salik toll gate system, and federal traffic services to motorists.

At the end of the tour, Al Tayer reiterated RTA’s keenness to deliver top-class customer services by migrating to smart service offerings in streamlined time-saving procedures aligned with world-class standards. He called on employees of the Center to prioritize the achievement of customers’ expectations and redouble their efforts to make them happier.
