ALDAR Reaches Out To People With Special Needs

ALDAR Properties, Abu Dhabi’s leading property development, management and investment company, has extended a financial donation to the Future Centre for Special Needs (FCSN) to help meet the various needs of the Abu Dhabi-based institution. A team of ALDAR, led by Mohammed Al Mubarak, Chief Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Officer, visited the Centre today and met with the management, staff, and students. Al Mubarak presented an AED200,000 cheque to Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Faheem, FCSN Chairman as a donation from ALDAR toward meeting some of the needs of the Centre, which focuses on enabling students with physical and mental disabilities to experience joyful and meaningful lives. Besides the corporate check, personal donations from ALDAR staff were used in procuring some of the Centre’s urgent needs. ALDAR team intermingled with the Centre’s students. Mohammed Al Mubarak said "As a leading corporate entity, ALDAR is duty bound to reach out to all sectors of the society. It is part of our corporate social responsibility to do so. Naturally, people with special needs rank high in our list and we will do our utmost to help them become proactive community members." Al Faheem praised ALDAR’s gesture as a demonstration of its commitment to society. "The support we receive from various institutions is instrumental in helping us in catering to the needs of those students and helping them realize their best potentials," he said. The Future Centre for Special Needs, today serving more than 180 students, has touched the lives of many students and their families. Over 40 of the Centre’s students have already joined regular, mainstream education, while some graduates have got jobs in the public and private sectors.
